Paris Diaries: No 6

Paris Breakfast

Today was an extremely full day. It is 1:30 am and I am still working. I don’t think I have been more excited to slip on my pajamas and jump into bed. I spent the night at the adorable Caron de Beaumarchais on one of my favorite streets Vieille de Temple. The hotel is filled with charming details and it will make you feel as you stepped back in time. The window looked out onto the street and had it’s own red geranium. I watched the sun hit the buildings at sunset and the traffic pass below me. I will share more about the hotel in a future post!

I had a little time this afternoon to explore my next stay at a fabulous spot. I will show you tomorrow but I had to snap my first self portrait in this location. I walked over to Le Meurice to meet Grand Luxury for pastries and tea. It was the perfect rainy day activity. We planned on each having one pastry but ended up having four total. The eclair with mint and lemon was the most amazing pastry followed by the best Paris brest I have ever tried. I may have fought for more if we hadn’t split the pastries evenly on the plate. I had time to explore one of the rooms and see the breathtaking view from a Prestige Suite at Le Meurice. The colors of Autumn are so beautiful against the Parisian soft grey and white color palate. Don’t worry I have a few more photos to share from here soon too.

This evening I met up with a photographer friend Katie Donnelly to chat about Paris and photography. We had so much to catch up on we didn’t realize how much the time had passed. It turned into a late evening but it was so great to spend time catching up with a friend at a Parisian cafĆ© over a glass of wine. Tomorrow I am meeting up with a few friends for wine and cheese in the apartment I am staying in and look forward to sharing the photos with you.
