Summer Reading List by Zoey Bloom

Paris Was Ours (by Penelope Rowlands)

Paris Was Ours is a collection of 32 short stories, which were created by writers who wanted to share bits and pieces of their experiences living in the City of Light. Some stories are humorous and some are sad, but the vivid descriptions of Paris and the honest, raw emotion behind each piece will have you lost in thought long after you finish the book.

Paris City Guide (by Cereal)

Filled to the brim with only the coolest of spots, the Paris guide by Cereal Magazine takes you on a journey through Paris’s most unique cafés, restaurants, hotels, and attractions. The guide is beautifully laid out in a crisp, minimalist little book that you simply must have in tow next time you touch down in Paris.

Paris Street Style: A Guide to Effortless Chic (by Isabelle Thomas and Frédérique Veysset)

Looking to add more French elements to your wardrobe this summer? Paris Street Style has every tip and trick you need to know when adding French style to your current clothing repertoire. With simple lists of do’s and don’ts, insider info from French it-girls and style influencers, and beautiful photos, this handbook to French girl chic is enormously helpful when you’re navigating the summer sales and planning for the autumn.

In Love In France (by Rhonda Carrier)

This illustrated guide to the most romantic spots (in arguably the most romantic country) will instantly have your heart. The first half of the book tackles Paris, and the seemingly endless list of romantic spots in the city. After going on to explore the other regions of France and all of the charm they have to offer, there are really helpful sections on the most romantic foods to eat in France, as well as advice for arranging to have a marriage ceremony in France. I’m a romantic deep down, and I enjoyed every hidden courtyard and intimate restaurant recommendation that this book offered.
