10 Airbnb Rentals in Paris for Under $200 My Apartment in Montmartre

10 Airbnb Rentals in Paris for Under $200 My Apartment in Montmartre

My first Paris apartment was rented through Airbnb in 2013. I had no idea what Airbnb was and it was so new. I heard about it through a friend and when I was looking for places to rent. I searched and searched and came up with this apartment overlooking the Parisian rooftops in Montmartre. When you are looking on Airbnb it could take some knowledge of the city you are going to stay in what neighborhoods are good and in ideal locations. I get a lot of requests from friends headed to Paris to help them apartment search. It can be a lengthy process so I decided to do the searching for all of you at the same time and create a post about it. I am going to break it down by cost because the budget is probably the top priority for travelers.

  1. Was wondering if you have heard anything about Air BnB being a bit troublesome lately due to tax issues? I’ve read that some people have rented AirBnb’s and then being asked to leave due to owner’s not paying taxes? I’m traveling alone and a little concerned about renting through Air BnB – would love your opinion! Merci!!!!

    • Hi Suzanne,

I haven’t heard any bad stories yet… I didn’t love my experience with them this last trip. I think they started to take the personal touch out of home rental and it is just a business for them to rent to as many people as possible. I have had great luck with personal apartment rentals but they are being hit by the laws too. Hotels are having to step up their game and they are doing a great job. It is just harder to find long term rentals for people that want to go for a few weeks or months at a time.

How long are you looking to go for? I will do my best to help!
