Paris Diaries : Autumn No Six

paris apartment in the marais

For those of you who have been asking where I stayed this time in Paris, I was just around the corner from my old apartment.  I stayed with La Belle Address for the second time this year and couldn’t be happier. I stayed in the “Picasso” apartment. Since I was in the same neighborhood as my last trip just a few months previous it was VERY easy to slide back into life. I had the same grocery, metro stop, and cafés for my morning coffees. I loved being able to see the same people in the neighborhood. I worked on creating a neighborhood guide this time around so you know my favorite places to stop (coming soon) if you have the opportunity to stay in an apartment by La Belle Address

I spent the afternoon meeting with Nina the co-founder of Insidr Paris. I recently wrote about their service in a previous post. It is the way I was able to keep connected on this trip to Paris without a SIM card. It was incredibly easy and reliable. Plus I was able to learn more about the city. We are working on a neighborhood guide of St Germain de Près so stay tuned. I am sure you are noticing a theme with the neighborhood guides. I have had a huge request for suggestions on where to go in certain neighborhoods so this was the best solution plus this challenged me and allowed me to rediscover the city I thought I knew so well. Nina has opened my eyes to a lot of unique spots in Paris.

I checked out the Hoxton Hotel which seems to be all the rage these days but sadly wasn’t impressed. Hopefully, they work out their opening day kinks. I arrived just before the rain and enjoyed a tea while I waited out the weather.

I ended the day with wine and cheese with my Paris Family. We spent the evening laughing and catching up and Miss M even showed me the art she has been working on. I have so many fond memories spent with these three in Paris.

If you are headed to Paris this Autumn don’t miss my Packing Guide.
