I am finally home after two weeks of travel from Italy to the South of France and ending in Paris. It was quite the adventure with a family of 7 instead of my usual solo travel. I hit the start of the heat wave in Paris and arrived home back to Chicago earlier this week. I am still getting over jet lag, but enjoying the 4:45 sunrise here in Chicago while I adjust. I have a lot of photos to edit and blog posts to catch up on but I am trying to not put too much pressure on myself for once and just ease back into things slowly.

I haven’t shopped at Abercrombie in years. Maybe since my first year in college but I have to say, they have gotten some things right in design lately. I am picking up a few of their pieces for Summer.
I just ordered this dress for Summer and my next trip away. It will arrive just in time for 4th of July.

A record heat wave hit Europe this week. I was in Paris for the start of it and it was brutal. Carrying two cameras and 4 lenses was enough but the heat and humidity really took my energy by the end of the day. My hotel did have air conditioning but a lot of the apartments do not.
I lost my favorite sunglasses in Paris and it was 90 degrees. I was lucky to purchase another pair while in Paris. These are similar and I may need a backup pair.

My sister and I love illy coffee and now there are pods that are available for your Nespresso machine. I am on my way to pick some up at Sur La Table today. I can’t wait to try them!
I spent two weeks with my family including my 2 1/2 year old nephew in the South of France earlier this month. Meltdowns were a regular occurrence. He is the sweetest boy but the meltdowns while traveling made it more challenging than expected. I found this article and sent it to my sister. A great read if you have small kids.
