I think that books make the best gifts! It is what I get my niece and nephew for birthdays and holidays ( I sign the inside of the book as a memory) I was really happy when Ann Mah reached out to do a book giveaway for “The Lost Vintage”
I am giving away 11 copies of “The Lost Vintage” in total! I couldn’t think of a better way to thank you all for reading the blog then with a gift. There is one Grand Prize which includes a hard copy of the book, a generous slice of Comté cheese (my favorite) and a cheese board.
The full details on how to enter are below:
Fall is in the air. I can't think of a better way to welcome the season than with a cozy sweater, curled up with a good book, and a fall snack like an apple with a slice of Comté cheese. What are you doing to say goodbye to summer and hello fall? @harpercollinsus and @comte_usa are teaming up to celebrate the season by letting me give away ten hard copies of "The Lost Vintage", a new book by one of my favorite authors, Ann Mah.
Plus, one lucky follower will win the Grand Prize - my Welcome Fall kit containing a hard copy of The Lost Vintage, a generous wedge of delicious Comté cheese, and a Montebeliarde cheese board.
2. Comment on the Instagram post on my feed with how you are welcoming Fall.
Winners to be announced Friday. (Valid for US residents only)
If you want a little more information about Comté cheese. Comté represents 1,000 years of artisanal cheesemaking and comes from the Jura Massif region of France. The Comté PDO was established 60 years ago. For more information on Comté, go to www.comte-usa.com.
Two fun facts about Comté.
1. I introduced my family to Comté when they came to visit Paris for the first time in 2016. We bought some on Rue Cler at a Fromagerie and it disappeared within a day. We nicknamed my niece “the Comté monster” she liked it so much. My sister now keeps a little stocked in her fridge at home and it is always her go to French cheese. It is a family tradition that we have a French cheese plate when I am in town.
2. As tradition, I always pack a Comté and baguette sandwich for the flight home. I fly home on Mondays as much as possible and will pick up a nice slice of older Comté at the Bastille Market. Even when I had two days in Antibes, I found a Fromagerie and purchased a slice of Comté. This little tradition helps extend my Parisian experience a few more hours while I am en route back to the US.
You can imagine my delight when Ann Mah contacted me to do a giveaway with my readers that included Comté. I picked up this slice at Pastoral in Chicago which is one of my go to places for cheese. They will be on the Chicago map just in case you want to reference back.
