Links I Love Week 49

IMG_4422.jpg

I am in the home stretch of Christmas! It is my favorite time of the year but also my busiest. Between One of a Kind, Christmas orders, and keeping up with the blog it has been a little crazy. One of a Kind takes up so much of my time and it is really hard to do anything else during that week. I was so happy to meet so many people face to face in Chicago. I need to organize something in Chicago in 2019 so we can all meet!

I would be lying if I didnā€™t admit I was feeling burnt out by the end of this year. I havenā€™t had time off in who knows when and my body and mind are feeling it. I broke out my Christmas pajamas early and I have been catching up on Mrs Maizel and I watched ā€œThe Holidayā€ Do you have favorite movies you watch every Christmas?

This time next week, I will be sharing Links I Love from the beach in Florida. I cannot wait to snuggle my niece and nephew and have lazy mornings in our matching pajamas. (it is a family tradition)

The last day to order prints from The Print Shop for Christmas arrival is December 19th. I am taking the rest of the year off from shipping and will return to shipping the first week of January.

One of my customers sent me her beautiful finished bathroom with one of my prints hanging on the wall. I loved the print so much, I ordered one for my gallery wall at home. You can shop the print here. If you have photos of my work hanging in your home, I would love to see them. Please send them my way so I can share! xo

  1. The link on the Paris protests in outdated. I am in Paris and was in Paris Saturday December 15th. Most museums were closed on Saturday, many cafes and shops closed, and the numerous metro lines were not operating Saturday during most of the day. I went to the St. Germain des Pres area Saturday afternoon because by all accounts this area was free from protests. After shopping Longchamps, Pierre Herme, and more, I was walking with many other shoppers near Rue du Four when 20 plus police cars drove past us with sirens on. The sirens suddenly stopped. I looked up to see the police exiting their vehicles. I pivoted to turn away and walked up Rue du Four. Within 60 seconds, Yellow Jacket protestors were running towards me. I was able to take cover in a store which quickly closed their security shutters. It was the most harrowing experience in my 15 Paris trips and 45 international trips. The police and protesters scuffled in the street for almost an hour. I do not recommend tourists come to Paris until the protests stop unless they want to spend Saturdays in their hotel room.
