I arrived to the new space feeling a bit overwhelmed with movers and boxes everywhere. The move went smoothly overall and I organized the furniture and box placements so I didn’t have to stress too much later. I
My new office transformed pretty quickly after the move. I initially had this desk in my old place that I bought from an antique place years ago. I painted it grey and then black. It eventually turned into a spot for my TV in the old place and I moved my desk to a marble table. When I was moving, this desk was originally marked dumpster. As the moving truck drove away, I had a second look at it and measured the desk and this nook. It fit perfectly! The glass antique knob was missing but luckily I had an extra.
There was already a nail on the wall and my Paris map fit the space. I think I will eventually swap it out for a Paris print. But for now, I am happy with space. The “tout est possible” print was an easy addition with a nail. Fresh flowers and a Diptyque candle completed my little nook. I love coming down the stairs in the morning and being able to get right to work. In the evening, I can close the computer and shut down for the night.
