If you are in Paris for the Christmas season don’t miss out on visiting the high-end department stores.  The Bon Marché is decked in twinkle lights as seen above and it looks as if it is snowing inside. Even if you aren’t going to shop, it’s worth the look. They also happen to have one of my favorite indoor food shops in Paris Le Grand Epiciere. You can warm up in this store for hours! 

Department Stores with Displays 

1. Bon Marché – located on the left bank don’t miss out on the indoor famous escalators and the outdoor windows.

2. Galleries Lafayette – don’t miss out on the tree in the center of the stained glass dome as well as the window displays on the exterior.

3. Printempts – Friends have told me the interior and exterior decorations for Christmas are not to be missed. Located just a few doors down from Galleries Lafayette you can easily keep warm between the two for an afternoon or avoid the rain depending on the weather.

4. BHV – Located just across from Hôtel de Ville. Stop by for the window displays. They recently opened their doors on Sundays which is a change for Paris standards where most shops are closed on Sundays.
