Coming home is never easy. I have been jet lagged (we all know I am not the best sleeper). Then there are the hunger pains because my body is so confused on the time, I am hungry at the oddest hours. I fell asleep at 9pm and woke up at midnight and beyond starving. I checked the time in Paris which was 7 am, the time I was used to waking up and going for a croissant. It totally makes sense but I wasn’t laughing. I have been editing away to have my goal of having a new collection of prints in the shop by November 1. I have to say, I am pretty proud of what I shot and I can’t wait to share.
The Most Beautiful Independent Store in Every State Have you been to any of these?
Discover the hidden passages of Paris with La Cuisine. This is one of my favorite walks to do in Paris from the ninth arrondissement to the first.
Dorie Greenspan has a new book out and she is coming to Chicago! I have wanted to meet her for a while and I finally get my chance. I can’t wait to add her signed copy to my cookbook collection.
After an Indian Summer in Paris, cold temperatures are expected with an cold front. Pack sweaters if you are headed to Paris in the next few weeks.
A Monumental Year for Paris. I saw a huge increase in traffic from years past. Paris was busier than ever.
I am a candle collector. They are great to burn at home in the Winter months. I work way past sunset so I like to burn a candle once the sun goes down as a way to unwind. This is one of my favorites.
Biking in France: Friendly Changes for Cyclists and Bike Commuters I saw a huge increase in bikes this trip in particular. Paris felt more like Amsterdam in the morning than ever before. I loved hearing the bikes go by instead of cars.
I had the pleasure of meeting Victoria Brownlee of “Fromage à Trois” when I was in Paris. She gave me a copy of the book for one. Just simply comment below with your favorite link and make sure you leave your email so I can contact the winner.
What I Bought this Week
It is officially sweater weather so I ordered these two from Sézane, one in cranberry which is my new favorite color for Fall and this one in green. I didn’t have a chance to visit the store during my visit to Paris but they offer free shipping online and the prices are the same.
