The Market in Nice France

If you have been following me for a while, you know I love a visit to the market in any city. I am a regular at my local Green City Market in Chicago and in Paris, you can find be at the Bastille Market. It had been a few years since my last visit to Nice but I remembered loving the market. It was a 25 minute walk from our Airbnb which most of it could be done along the water. I am an early riser and I arrived way before the market had finished setting up for the day. I took a long lap around and circled back to some of the stalls.

It was peony season during my visit and I wanted to visit the same vendor from last time. His booth was just the same with peonies in every color. I really wish I would have purchased some for our apartment but I never got around to doing it.

Apricots, cherries, and strawberries were in season during our visit. We grabbed as much fruit as we could for the kids. The apricots and strawberries were quickly gone and we were back at the market for more the next chance we got.

My whole family loves olives. We picked up a bunch of different varieties to snack on back at the apartment.

I don’t eat vegetables but they are so pretty at the market, I couldn’t refuse a few photos.

The best souvenir to bring home is the soaps. You can easily pack them in your luggage and they smell so good! I love the lavender and rose soaps.

What is your favorite thing to buy at the market?
